who's who?

Food Solutions Partnership comprises, Simon Hope, Karen Samuel and Kate Adamson.

Simon has been in the catering industry, in general, since 1976. He successfully ran Food for Thought in Covent Garden, then his own highly acclaimed restaurant, Food for friends in Brighton until 2004. During that time he has written three cookery books, appeared on television and countless radio shows. He opened Brighton’s first wholefood Patisserie and first vegetarian takeaway/outside catering unit in 1986. Outside catering events have always been a key part of his restaurant businesses.

Karen started life as a part-time salad chef under the auspices of Head Chef, Phil Taylor at Food for friends in 1985. When Phil left to start Terre à Terre in 1989, Karen was his automatic replacement. Her taste-buds are second to none and her knowledge of international cuisine grew exponentially over her time with that company. Karen also ran her own outside catering company, as well as cooking for the purely vegetarian Food for friends. While not vegetarian herself, Karen’s food was, and is, an essential add-on, feeding carnal desires with meatless creativity!!

Kate is not only our company sweet tooth, but also our conscience. Everything about her is wholesome even her Swiss Grandma’s predilection for chocolate (it has to be at least 70%!!). Kate makes the best and healthiest cakes you’ll ever taste. Our dinner parties have always been fabulous due to Kate’s pièce de resistance.

From formal, rich desserts to healthy options Kate will always be able to suggest and guide you, but most importantly, never disappoint, so simply indulge yourself…
